Why Bison?
Bison not Beef
Bison tallow is naturally higher in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K2 than conventional beef tallow. These are the same nutrients your skin uses to repair, protect, and stay supple — and bison raised on open prairie grass produce more of them. We chose bison because the difference isn't marketing. It's in the fat. Many competing products undergo extensive processing, including bleaching and deodorizing, which can alter the natural characteristics of tallow. Some products may also contain very little tallow and filled with fillers despite being marketed as tallow-based. Our tallow is gently rendered and whipped to create a smooth, luxurious texture—so you get a generous product that delivers real value for what you pay, rather than paying for excess air or fillers.

Y&A Tallow started in a kitchen in Canada. Two minds same goal. We wanted skincare that was natural and worked — not a list of chemicals we had to Google. Bison tallow has been used for centuries. It absorbs like nothing else because it's biologically compatible with human skin. We render it clean, add only what's necessary, and put it in a jar. That's the whole story.
